About ACCDA files

A .ACCDA file is a proprietary Microsoft Access Add-in used to store custom macros, VBA code, and user interface modifications. These files extend the core capabilities of Microsoft Access.

The format is highly restrictive. It requires a paid Microsoft 365 subscription to open and is completely unsupported on macOS because Microsoft Access is a Windows-only desktop application. Furthermore, because they contain executable VBA scripts, .ACCDA files pose a severe security risk if downloaded from unknown sources.

To share the data or code contained inside, users must typically export the internal tables to standard formats like XLSX or CSV, or export the scripts as raw TXT files. Be aware that custom interface elements and macro functionality will be lost during conversion.

This file format is notoriously difficult to open or convert without the original software. Standard online tools fail because the binary structure relies heavily on the closed Microsoft Access database engine. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or partial conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your ACCDA file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
