About AAUI files
The .aaui file is an Acrobat User Interface file that saves custom workspace layouts, toolbar positions, and user preferences for Adobe Acrobat. Users often try to convert these files because they mistakenly believe they are standard document files. However, the .aaui format is strictly a proprietary settings file. It does not contain document text, vector graphics, or images. It cannot be opened by standard web browsers, image viewers, or word processors. Because it is locked into the Adobe ecosystem, it is useless without the main software installed. Realistically, true conversion to a visual format like PDF or DOCX is impossible. The best workaround is to extract the underlying configuration data to standard formats like TXT or XML. This allows developers or IT administrators to read the raw settings, though all visual applications of the interface are lost outside of Acrobat. This file format is difficult to open or convert because it is a closed, proprietary format designed only for internal software use. Standard online converters fail to process it because it lacks standard document data structures. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or data extraction may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your AAUI file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
