About A6P files
A6P files are project source files created by Adobe Authorware 6 (originally developed by Macromedia). They store interactive, flowchart-based multimedia projects that were heavily used in the early 2000s for e-learning courses, training applications, and interactive CD-ROMs.
The massive disadvantage of the .A6P format today is that it is closed, proprietary, and completely obsolete. Adobe officially discontinued Authorware in 2007. An .A6P file cannot be opened by modern web browsers or contemporary e-learning tools. Furthermore, installing the original software usually requires setting up a virtual machine with a 32-bit legacy operating system like Windows XP. This means your text, images, and programming logic are locked inside an inaccessible binary wrapper.
Because the internal structure of this format was never publicly documented by Adobe, standard online converters fail to process it. Only the original Authorware software can perfectly read the flowchart and export the logic. While we cannot reconstruct the interactive flowchart, our deep analysis tools can often inspect the file to extract embedded media and raw text strings hidden within the binary code.
Convert.Guru analyzes your A6P file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert A6P file to EXE, MSI, APP, DMG, DEB, RPM, PKG, RUN, SH, BAT, CMD or COM, you can use Adobe Authorware or similar software from the "E-learning multimedia project storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert JAR, APP, SCR, IPA, COM, AAB, PS1, DMG, VBS, EXE, XAPK or MSI files to A6P, try Adobe Authorware or another comparable tool in the "E-learning multimedia project storage" category.
The A6P Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our A6P converter.
