About 8XI files
The .8xi file format is a proprietary image file used by Texas Instruments graphing calculators, specifically the TI-83 Plus and TI-84 Plus families. It stores pictures drawn on the calculator screen or converted from PC images to be used as backgrounds for graphs. Users typically interact with these files using TI Connect CE, the official link software for transferring data between the calculator and a computer via USB. The format is highly restrictive. It is a proprietary, closed system entirely unrecognized by standard operating systems, and cannot be opened natively by web browsers or default image viewers like Windows Photos or Apple Preview.
