About 3GX files

The .3GX file format is a specialized executable plugin used to enable game cheats and custom modifications on a homebrewed Nintendo 3DS console. Developed for the Luma3DS custom firmware using the CTR Plugin Framework (CTRPF) by Nanquitas, these files run ARM machine code to alter game memory and provide in-game cheat menus. The major disadvantage of the .3GX format is its extreme hardware lock-in. It is a compiled, proprietary binary designed exclusively for a modified, discontinued handheld console. You cannot open it natively on a PC, and it requires a strict folder structure on a FAT32-formatted SD card to function.
