A .WYZ file is a proprietary tracker music module created by WYZTracker, a specialized composing tool developed by Augusto Ruiz. It is heavily used in the demoscene and retro homebrew communities to author chiptunes for 8-bit computers powered by the Zilog Z80 processor and the AY-3-8910 sound chip, such as the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC, and MSX.
Because .WYZ is an obscure, highly specialized format containing raw synthesizer instructions rather than actual audio waveforms, conventional media players and standard online audio converters cannot play or process it.
