Extract text from Ultra Fractal and Upfiring files (UFR)
To convert UFR files to another format, you need Ultra Fractal or other Data software.
To convert other file formats to the "Fractal Parameter File" file type, you need software like Ultra Fractal or a similar tool.
The .ufr file extension is primarily used by Ultra Fractal, a specialized fractal generation program, to store mathematical formulas, layer parameters, and coloring algorithms. A secondary use for the .ufr extension is found in the Upfiring decentralized P2P network, where it acts as an encrypted file container.
Working with .ufr files can be frustrating because they are proprietary and often misunderstood. An Ultra Fractal .ufr file does not contain a visual image like a normal photo; it is merely a set of text-based mathematical instructions. This means standard image viewers, web browsers, and traditional converters cannot open or display them. Furthermore, if you are dealing with an Upfiring .ufr file, the data is locked within an Ethereum-based blockchain client and useless outside of that ecosystem.
To share a fractal design with a wider audience, you must convert it. However, because standard converters cannot process proprietary mathematical code, the best approach is to open the file inside Ultra Fractal and render the output directly to standard formats like PNG, JPG, or AVI for animations.
