A .tet file is primarily associated with Elsword, a massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) developed by KOG Studios. In this context, the file serves as a proprietary Game Engine Texture container, often storing character skins, weapon models, or UI elements. These files are typically compressed or encrypted to prevent easy modification, meaning standard image viewers like Microsoft Photos or Preview cannot open them. A common frustration for modders is that while the underlying data might be standard (like DDS or TGA), the .tet wrapper locks it away.
