About TC3 files

The .TC3 file is a CAD drawing format specifically used by TurboCAD Mac. It stores both 2D vector layouts and 3D models, including geometry, layers, dimensions, and material properties. Designers use it for architectural drafting and mechanical design. You can open .TC3 files using TurboCAD Mac by IMSI/Design. Note that Windows versions of TurboCAD (which use TCW) may not natively open Mac-specific .TC3 files without conversion or importing. Users often need to convert .TC3 files because it is a closed, proprietary format. If you send a .TC3 file to a client or manufacturer, they cannot open it unless they own a paid license for TurboCAD Mac. The format is completely unsupported by standard image viewers, web browsers, and free CAD viewers. The best conversion targets are standard CAD exchange formats like DXF (for 2D geometry) and DWG (for full AutoCAD compatibility). For clients who only need to view the design, convert it to PDF.
