Extract text from TouchDraw documents (T2D)
To convert T2D documents to another format, you need TouchDraw or other Vector Image software.
To convert other file formats to the "Vector Drawing Document" file type, you need software like TouchDraw or a similar tool.
The .t2d file extension is a proprietary vector graphics document created by TouchDraw, a vector drawing and diagramming application developed by Elevenworks. These files store 2D drawings, floor plans, network diagrams, and illustrations, including shapes, lines, text, and structural layer data.
Because .t2d is a closed, proprietary format, it suffers from severe interoperability issues. You cannot open a .t2d file natively in web browsers, and industry-standard vector editors like Adobe Illustrator or Inkscape do not support it. Users who do not have TouchDraw installed on an Apple or Android device are effectively locked out of their own data.
To share or edit these diagrams elsewhere, you must convert the .t2d file. The best conversion targets are SVG to retain scalable, editable vector paths, or PDF for accurate document layout and cross-platform printing. For simple viewing, rasterizing the file to PNG or JPG works well, though you will permanently lose the ability to edit individual shapes.
