The .splane file is a game data file used exclusively by the sandbox vehicle-building simulation game SimplePlanes. Rather than storing the heavy 3D mesh of an aircraft, this file functions strictly as a lightweight download link or shortcut used to share custom creations among the player community. To open and utilize this file correctly, you must have the SimplePlanes game installed. When a player double-clicks the file, the game reads it and automatically downloads the corresponding aircraft model from the developer's servers.
