Proprietary Lock-in: You cannot view the schedule without owning a license for Movie Magic Scheduling, which can cost hundreds of dollars. Producing partners often receive these files but have no way to read the shooting schedule.
Legacy Issues: While newer versions of MMS use .MMSX, the .SEX format remains in circulation for backward compatibility with MMS 6 and Final Draft.
