Under the hood, a .qbtheme is not a simple folder; it is a compiled Qt Resource Collection (RCC) bundle. It permanently bakes a Qt Style Sheet (QSS), a JSON configuration file, and dozens of custom icon overrides into a single unreadable binary file.
The primary disadvantage of this format is its locked nature. If you want to tweak a specific color or replace an ugly icon within the theme, you cannot just open the file in a text editor or extract it with standard archive utilities like 7-Zip. The proprietary Qt framework packing makes reverse-engineering highly frustrating for non-developers, requiring specialized command-line tools to unpack.
To modify a theme, you must extract its contents first. The most practical conversion target is a standard ZIP archive, which yields the raw QSS, JSON, and SVG image files.
