Extract text from Print Shop projects (PSPROJ)

The .PSPROJ file is a desktop publishing project created by The Print Shop, a long-standing design program developed by Broderbund. These files store the layout data for greeting cards, brochures, banners, and newsletters. They contain text boxes, vector shapes, page dimensions, and directory references to external image assets.
Because .PSPROJ is a strictly proprietary working file, it presents severe disadvantages for users. It is not a finalized image or a standard document. You cannot open it in a web browser, email client, or standard document viewers. Sending a .PSPROJ file to a client or friend is usually a mistake because the recipient must purchase and install a compatible version of The Print Shop just to view it. Additionally, if you move the file to another computer without bundling its locally linked fonts and images, the layout will break and display missing asset errors.
To safely share your designs, you need to convert the .PSPROJ file into a universal format. The best target is PDF for high-quality printing, as it locks in the layout and preserves vector shapes. For quick digital sharing, exporting to JPG or PNG is recommended, though you will lose the ability to edit the text.
