Convert PIPE to another file type

To convert your PIPE file to another format, you need PIPE-FLO or other Cad software.

Convert a file to PIPE

To convert other file formats to the "Fluid Flow Simulation" file type, you need software like PIPE-FLO or a similar tool.

About PIPE files

A .pipe file is a proprietary project file created by PIPE-FLO, the industry-standard software for modeling fluid flow in piping systems. These files function as digital twins of industrial hydraulic networks, storing complex data on pipeline specifications, pump curves, valve configurations, and fluid properties.

Because .pipe files are binary and strictly proprietary to Engineered Software, they present significant compatibility challenges. They cannot be opened by standard CAD tools like AutoCAD or viewed in text editors. Users frequently encounter these files when receiving engineering deliverables but lack the expensive license required to view them.

To make the data accessible, the file must be converted based on your goal:

Convert.Guru analyzes your PIPE file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

Users also converted FTBL, PTBL, PDES and CSV files.

FAQ

If you want to convert PIPE file to CSV, DWG, DXF, DGN, RVT, RFA, SKP, 3DM, STEP, IGES, SAT or X_T, you can use PIPE-FLO or similar software from the "Hydraulic System Modeling" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

To convert SLDASM, DGN, PRT, IAM, X_B, CATPRODUCT, SLDPRT, RVT, ASM, DWG, CATPART or DXF files to PIPE, try PIPE-FLO or another comparable tool in the "Hydraulic System Modeling" category.

The PIPE Converter Story

The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our PIPE converter.
