About OCIMF files
.ocimf files are proprietary data containers used by the Oil Companies International Marine Forum (OCIMF) for the Harmonised Vessel Particulars Questionnaire (HVPQ). They store detailed technical specifications and safety data for tanker vessels. Typically, these files are managed and opened using the official SIRE (Ship Inspection Report Programme) web portal or dedicated offline software. This format is highly restrictive and closed. It is a proprietary data exchange format meant for machine-to-machine transfer, not human readability. Vessel operators face strict limits because viewing the data requires the exact OCIMF software suite, which demands authorized access and login credentials. Users usually need to convert .ocimf to PDF for standard human-readable reporting, or XML and CSV for internal database integration. This file format is difficult to open or convert because standard online converters fail to process closed maritime industry standards. Often only the original software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format like plain XML, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your OCIMF file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
If you want to convert OCIMF file to CSV, JSON, XML, YAML, YML, TOML, INI, CFG, CONF, DAT, DB or SQL, you can use OCIMF SIRE or similar software from the "Maritime Vessel Data Storage" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

The OCIMF Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our OCIMF converter.
