Convert a file to MVTX
To convert other file formats to the "Mind Mapping Template" file type, you need software like MindView or a similar tool.
About MVTX files
The .MVTX file is a proprietary template format created by MatchWare MindView. Users rely on these files to store predefined mind map structures, custom styles, and branch layouts for corporate brainstorming, data visualization, or project planning.
To properly open and edit these files, you need a commercial license for MindView.
Users usually need to convert .MVTX files because the format is closed and restricted. You cannot open it in a web browser, and colleagues without a paid MindView subscription cannot view the contents. Standard online converters fail to process this format because MatchWare does not publish the internal schema.
The best conversion targets for sharing are PDF, DOCX, or PNG. Converting to these formats makes the mind map universally accessible, but you will lose the ability to expand, edit, or collapse the branches.
This file format is exceptionally difficult to open or convert without the original application. Often, only MindView can properly read or export the structured mind map data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format like XML, viewing the raw text or partial conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your MVTX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
