About LOGICLY files
The .logicly file is a digital circuit document created by Logicly, an educational simulator by Bowler Hat. It stores the exact layout, state, and connections of logic gates, flip-flops, clocks, and switches used to teach boolean algebra and digital logic design.
The primary disadvantage of the .logicly format is its proprietary nature. It requires either a paid desktop license or an active web session to open. It is not supported by standard web browsers or universal document viewers. This creates friction when sharing lab assignments or circuit schematics with peers or instructors who lack the software. Files must often be manually exported to avoid compatibility roadblocks.
For sharing and documentation, the best conversion targets are PNG, JPG, or PDF. However, this file format is difficult to open or convert externally because it relies on a closed schema to interpret canvas coordinates and component states. Often only the original software can properly read or export the visual circuit data. Standard online converters fail to render the graphical layout. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or data extraction may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your LOGICLY file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
FAQ
If you want to convert LOGICLY file to DWG, DXF, DGN, RVT, RFA, SKP, 3DM, STEP, IGES, SAT, X_T or X_B, you can use Logicly or similar software from the "Logic Circuit Simulation" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….

The LOGICLY Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our LOGICLY converter.
