The .LNF file is a proprietary landscape design project file. Professional landscape architecture software such as PRO Landscape, Land F/X, and DynaSCAPE primarily use this format. These files store 2D CAD drawings, 3D renderings, plant databases, hardscape materials, and customer pricing data. To open and natively edit an .LNF file, you need the original software that created it. The main disadvantage of the .LNF format is its highly proprietary nature. Files require expensive, specialized software subscriptions to open. Clients cannot view these files directly, and web browsers do not support them. For sharing or cross-platform use, you must export the .LNF file to a PDF document for viewing or a DWG or DXF file for standard CAD editing.
