Extract text from Laser marking files (JCZ)

The .JCZ file format is predominantly used by EZCAD, the industry-standard software for operating galvo laser marking and engraving machines. Developed by Beijing JCZ Technology, it stores 2D or 3D vector graphics, text, hatch patterns, and specific hardware parameters such as laser power, frequency, and marking speed. Historically, the .JCZ extension was also assigned to Liquid Motion Animation files, an obsolete Java-based web animation format developed by Microsoft in the late 1990s.
The biggest disadvantage of the modern .JCZ format is its proprietary, hardware-locked nature. Files are strictly tied to specific JCZ controller boards (like the LMCV4) and usually require a connected USB hardware dongle to open fully without entering a restrictive 'Demo' mode. Furthermore, EZCAD is notoriously Windows-only, making it extremely frustrating for Mac users or designers trying to share proofs with clients. To share the actual geometry or edit the artwork in standard software like Adobe Illustrator or AutoCAD, you must convert the file.
The best conversion targets for .JCZ files are standard vector formats like DXF, SVG, or AI. Converting to PDF is also highly recommended for client viewing. Note that while the core geometry and lines are perfectly preserved during conversion, machine-specific metadata - such as hatch fill settings and laser power values - will be lost.
Because the format is closed and deeply entangled with laser hardware, traditional online image converters fail to process it.
