About H2P files

The .H2P format is a proprietary preset file used exclusively by the u-he Zebra2 virtual synthesizer plugin. It stores the precise knob positions, modulation matrix assignments, and oscillator settings required to recreate a specific sound patch. The main disadvantage of the .H2P format is its strict dependency on a single piece of premium software. It does not contain any actual audio data like a .WAV or .MP3 file. Therefore, standard audio players and web browsers cannot open or play it. If you do not own a license for Zebra2, this file is effectively useless for music production. Because this is a closed, proprietary settings format, standard online audio converters fail to process it. You cannot directly convert an .H2P file into an audio track without rendering it through the original synth engine. Our analysis tools can inspect the file, often revealing the plain text metadata, author notes, and patch settings hidden inside. If you need the actual audio, the only realistic workaround is to load the preset into Zebra2, trigger it with a .MIDI sequence in your Digital Audio Workstation, and bounce the resulting output to a standard .WAV file.
