A .GUIT file is a proprietary note sequence file created by the community-developed Rust Guitar Tool, designed specifically for the video game Rust. These files do not store actual audio data; instead, they contain a sequence of simulated acoustic guitar notes and timing data meant to automate in-game instrument playing.
Because the Rust Guitar Tool is now obsolete abandonware, .GUIT files are incredibly difficult to utilize today. The primary disadvantage of this format is its strict, proprietary nature.
