About GSPROJ files
The .gsproj file is a GameSalad Windows Project File. It stores the game logic, scene layouts, actor behaviors, and asset references for 2D games created in GameSalad Creator. This visual programming tool allows users to build games without writing code.
This format has significant disadvantages. It is a closed, proprietary project container. You are locked into the GameSalad ecosystem. You cannot natively export or migrate the project logic into other modern game engines like Unity or Godot. Furthermore, the file is entirely useless without an active subscription to the specific GameSalad software required to parse its internal structure.
Because of these proprietary limitations, standard online converters fail to process .gsproj files. They cannot translate GameSalad's unique visual scripting logic into executable code or other engine formats.
However, the project file often wraps standard readable text and media. If our analysis detects standard underlying XML or embedded game assets like PNG or WAV, we can help you inspect the raw data or extract the media safely.
Convert.Guru analyzes your GSPROJ file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
