Extract text from Fritzing modules (FZM)

Fritzing Module files (FZM) are proprietary configuration files created by Fritzing, an open-source electronics design tool. They describe a specific collection of individual electronic components that are wired to function as a single logical unit on a breadboard or schematic.
The main disadvantage of the .FZM format is its rigid dependency on the Fritzing ecosystem. Because an .FZM file merely stores XML-based metadata mapping out the relationships and part IDs - rather than the actual graphical shapes or electrical properties - it is completely useless if you do not have the exact original part libraries installed on your machine. Standard online CAD converters fail to process .FZM files because they cannot access the underlying vector graphics (SVG) and part definitions (FZP) required to render the schematic.
When you need to share your Fritzing module with a manufacturer or a colleague who does not use the software, you must export it from the original application. The best conversion targets for sharing schematics or breadboard views are standard formats like PDF, SVG, or PNG. For printed circuit board (PCB) fabrication, exporting the entire sketch to .GERBER is the required industry standard.
