About FPMB files

The .FPMB file is a proprietary game data file known as an FPS Creator Map Buffer File. It was developed by The Game Creators for use in their legacy FPS Creator software, a tool designed to let users build first-person shooters without coding. These files store pre-compiled level geometry and map data, which the game engine uses to speed up rendering and load times. The major disadvantage of the .FPMB format is that it is entirely closed and heavily tied to an obsolete 3D engine. It is not supported by standard 3D modeling software, modern game engines like Unity, or web browsers. Users typically need to convert these files to extract custom map geometry for modern engines. The best conversion targets for game geometry are standard formats like OBJ or FBX, but direct conversion is virtually impossible outside the original ecosystem. This file format is exceptionally difficult to open or convert because it contains proprietary binary buffer data rather than standard mesh definitions. Often, only the original FPS Creator software can properly read or export the data. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

Convert.Guru analyzes your FPMB file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
