Convert DNE to another file type
To convert DNE models and logs to another format, you need Microsoft .NET Framework or other Executable software.
Convert a file to DNE
To convert other file formats to the ".NET Assembly or Data" file type, you need software like Microsoft .NET Framework or a similar tool.
About DNE files
A .DNE file generally serves as a .NET Executable or Assembly containing compiled code for the Microsoft .NET Framework. Alternatively, it is used as a Netica Bayesian Network file by Norsys Netica to map probabilistic relationships, or as a raw transaction log file by the payment processor Redecard.
Users frequently struggle with these files due to their strict, proprietary nature. A compiled .DNE executable is unsafe to share over email because mail filters block it, and it cannot be easily modified without specialized decompilers. Meanwhile, Netica and Redecard files lock your raw data inside highly specific software. Netica requires specialized software to handle large networks, and Redecard logs are unformatted raw strings that are useless to standard accounting tools.
Converting these files is highly dependent on their true internal format. For a Netica file, you usually want to export node data to CSV or XML to analyze it in spreadsheets. For Redecard logs, you must parse the strings into CSV or XLSX. Be aware that executable logic from a compiled file cannot be translated into a document format.
This file format is difficult to open or convert because multiple, completely unrelated programs use the exact same extension. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. However, convert.guru is built as a pragmatic workaround. Drag and drop your file to see what it is and convert it if supported. If our analysis detects a supported underlying text or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.
Convert.Guru analyzes your DNE file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

FAQ
If you want to convert DNE file to TXT, RTF, DOC, DOCX, ODT, PAGES, TEX, LATEX, MD, MARKDOWN, LOG or NFO, you can use Microsoft .NET Framework or similar software from the "Executable Code or Network Data" category. In the File menu, look for Save As… or Export….
To convert PDF, DOC, ASC, TODO, NFO, MEMO, README, DOCX, JPG, TXT, NOTE or RTF files to DNE, try Microsoft .NET Framework or another comparable tool in the "Executable Code or Network Data" category.
The DNE Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our DNE converter.
