The .brfnt file is a proprietary bitmap font format used by the Nintendo Wii console. Game developers use it to store and render text UI elements within Wii games. It stores pre-rendered character textures alongside spacing and coordinate data.

Because .brfnt is a closed, undocumented console format, standard text editors and graphic design tools cannot read it. It is not a vector font like TTF or OTF, but rather a collection of pre-rendered bitmap images. This means scaling the font results in heavy pixelation. It has zero compatibility with modern web browsers or operating systems. Standard online converters will fail to process it because it requires console-specific reverse-engineering to parse the binary headers.
You typically need to convert .brfnt into sprite sheets like PNG or BMP to view or edit the individual characters. Converting to a scalable vector format like TTF is not direct and requires manual tracing of the extracted bitmaps.
