About BCMX files

The .BCMX file is a Business Contact Manager Customization file created by Microsoft Outlook. It stores user-defined layouts, custom fields, and interface adjustments used to manage customer relationships within the legacy Business Contact Manager (BCM) add-in. Microsoft discontinued BCM after Outlook 2013, moving users to newer CRM tools. The main disadvantage of the .BCMX format is its extreme obsolescence and proprietary nature. You cannot open it natively in modern versions of Outlook or web browsers. Furthermore, the file stores configuration data rather than standard contact lists, making it useless to a typical user trying to recover emails or phone numbers without the exact legacy software environment. If you need to extract the underlying schema or text, the best target formats are XML or TXT. Because this is a closed, discontinued format, standard online converters will fail to process it. Only the original legacy software can properly read and deploy these customizations. Our tool can inspect the file, extract raw text or internal content, and convert it if a supported underlying format like XML is detected.

Convert.Guru analyzes your BCMX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
