Extract text from Ableton authorization files (AUZ)

An .AUZ file is an Ableton Authorization File used specifically for the offline activation of Ableton Live software. It serves as a digital handshake between your computer and the software developer. You can only open and execute this file using Ableton Live.
Users often attempt to convert this file because they mistakenly believe it holds music projects, audio stems, or instrument presets. It does not. The main disadvantage of the .AUZ format is its rigid, proprietary nature. It contains only encrypted licensing data and is locked to a specific computer's hardware ID. An .AUZ file generated for your studio desktop is completely useless on your travel laptop.
Converting an .AUZ file to media formats like MP3 or WAV is impossible because no audio data exists inside the file. You can extract the raw data to a standard TXT file to view the license strings, but doing so will invalidate the digital signature and break the authorization.
