About ARIAX files

The .ARIAX file is an XML-based sound preset file created for the Plogue chipsounds software synthesizer. It stores the exact parameters, knob positions, and configurations needed to emulate vintage 8-bit sound chips. You can open and utilize these files exclusively using the Plogue chipsounds plugin hosted inside a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) like Ableton Live or FL Studio.

The main disadvantage of the .ARIAX format is its proprietary, software-dependent nature. Users often mistake it for a playable audio file. However, it contains absolutely no audio data - only text-based instructions. This means you cannot play it in standard media players, and it is useless to anyone who does not own the specific Plogue synthesizer plugin.

Because it is essentially an XML file, the only direct conversion targets are text-based formats like XML or TXT. If you want to convert the preset into a playable audio format like WAV or MP3, standard file converters will instantly fail. You must load the patch into the software synthesizer, trigger it with MIDI notes, and export or 'bounce' the resulting audio track within your DAW.

This file format is highly specific and difficult to convert. Standard audio converters crash because they cannot read XML text as sound waves. If our analysis detects the supported underlying text data, viewing the raw parameters is completely possible without needing the original software.

Convert.Guru analyzes your ARIAX file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.
