About ARIA2 files

The .aria2 file is a control file generated by aria2, a lightweight multi-protocol command-line download utility. It tracks the exact state of an unfinished download, including downloaded chunks and piece hashes. You can learn more about the software on Wikipedia. Users often mistakenly try to convert these files because they want immediate access to the media or archive they are downloading. However, this format is highly proprietary and tightly coupled to the aria2 engine. The file itself does not contain the actual downloaded data, making it useless on its own. Standard online converters fail to process .aria2 files because there is no readable media format inside. You cannot convert it directly to MP4 or ZIP. The only way to get your target format is to resume the download in aria2 until it completes. This file format is difficult to open or convert because it is a closed, binary state file.
