About AMT files
The .AMT file primarily functions as an ArtMoney cheat table. It stores memory addresses, pointers, and data values used to modify PC game mechanics, such as locking player health or granting infinite currency. Secondary uses for the .AMT extension include AV system design schematics created by the Crestron Audio Media Tool, OCR language data files utilized by ABBYY FineReader, and legacy Amiga set-top box graphics.
The dominant software for managing these files is ArtMoney by System SoftLab. The primary disadvantage of the .AMT format is its extreme fragility and proprietary nature. Game memory addresses are dynamic; when a game receives even a minor patch, the memory offsets shift, immediately rendering the older .AMT file useless. Additionally, the format is closed, meaning standard text editors or browsers cannot parse the binary pointer data natively.
Users frequently look to convert .AMT files to CT (Cheat Engine tables) because Cheat Engine has a much larger, active modern community. Alternatively, professionals using Crestron systems need to convert their .AMT schematics to PDF or PNG to share designs with clients who do not own the expensive Crestron software suite.
Unfortunately, standard online converters fail to process .AMT files because they are closed, proprietary formats. Often, only the original software can properly read or export the data. We will inspect the file's internal hex strings and header data to determine whether it is an ArtMoney table, a Crestron diagram, or an ABBYY language file. If our analysis detects a supported underlying or embedded format, viewing or conversion may still be possible.

The AMT Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our AMT converter.
