About ACCFT files
The .ACCFT file extension is a Microsoft Access Data Type Template or Access Form Template. It is used to package custom database field definitions, input masks, and validation rules for reuse across different database projects. The primary software used to open and apply these files is Microsoft Access, part of the broader Microsoft Office suite (read more on Wikipedia). Users often need to convert or extract data from .ACCFT files because the format is highly proprietary and fundamentally useless without an active, paid Microsoft 365 subscription on a Windows machine. The format cannot be natively viewed in web browsers or edited by alternative database systems like MySQL or PostgreSQL. If you want to use the definitions, the best target format is an active .ACCDB database by importing the template directly. Because the .ACCFT file is built on a compressed .ZIP architecture, you can also rename the extension to .ZIP and extract the internal .XML files to inspect the raw schema definitions, though you will lose the automatic application logic. This file format is notoriously difficult to open or convert externally because it does not contain actual database records, only structural metadata. Standard online converters fail because they expect tabular data. Our engine can detect the underlying .ZIP container and allow you to extract the embedded .XML schema definitions without needing Microsoft Access.
Convert.Guru analyzes your ACCFT file, detects the exact format, and lets you read the text inside.

The ACCFT Converter Story
The history of Convert.Guru began over 25 years ago in California with Tom Simondi’s file-format database. A former contributor to Space Shuttle development and a software pioneer of the 1980s, Simondi established a trusted resource for file type analysis that was even referenced by Microsoft Windows XP. Today, we use modern technology to process and convert thousands of file formats while continually improving our ACCFT converter.
